Paying with your checking account simply requires a little information from your everyday check. The first thing that you need is the name of your bank. Second, you need two numbers, your account number and your banks routing number, both of which are listed on the bottom of your check. The routing number is always nine digits and the account number is usually ten. Some banks use a different number of digits for their accounts, but never nine. If you want to be sure that the nine digit number is your routing number, look at the symbols on either side off it.
